Director Stephanie Pincetl of the UCLA California Center for Sustainable Communities or (CCSC) has started the LA Energy Atlas, a web map project that analyzes the electricity and natural gas consumed per county in Los Angeles and provides solutions on how counties can reduce their energy consumption by incorporating renewable energy. One method of renewable energy involves  applying solar energy on certain buildings and homes. The goal of the project is to use renewable energy on homes and buildings to reach Zero Net Energy meaning that the building or home is producing the same amount of energy it uses. Other members on the LA Atlas Project includes Hannah Gustafson, Dan Cheng, Erik Porse, Claire Chirashiki, and Eric Fournier. Studio NAND designed and developed the website.
